Hi Life From Scratchers! It’s DIY editor, Crystal, here. Today I wanted to share a little bit more about myself. Up until 3 months ago my day job was as a children’s book publicist. I worked for a Canadian company that distributed some of the biggest and best US publishers in Canada. I loved my job but had been there for over 7 years and was ready for a new challenge, so I set off and started my own social media and PR firm, West Coast Creative Co.
One of the things that I miss most about my old job is the books. Oh, the books. I was surrounded by inspiring, beautiful, tantalizing, amazing books EACH AND EVERY DAY. One of my favorite publishers that I worked with was Chronicle Books. Do you know them? If you don’t know them by name, I’m sure you know them by the books that they’ve published.
Bakerella? Boo? Grumpy Cat? Darth Vader & Son?
Decorate? Hey Girl? Blog Inc? Plenty?
Yes! Now you know who I’m talking about!
Chronicle Books is a fantabulous company, chock full of some of the most creative people that you will ever meet. When I became the DIY editor at Scratch Mommy one of the first things that I did was email Chronicle and let them know about the site. They are big fans of living life from scratch and so they offered us a beautiful bundle of books to give away to one lucky reader!
That’s right! It’s a DIY & Crafter’s Dream Library Giveaway from Chronicle Books!
Included in the package are:
- I Love Macarons
- Paper + Craft
- Denyse Schmidt Quilts: 30 Colorful Quilt and Patchwork Projects
